Here are a few words of inspiration from a sermon I’ve preached. Be blessed
Thanksliving: God Deserves My Praise (November 05, 2017)
“The greater God’s gifts and works, the less they are regarded.” (Luther) I must admit this is a sad commentary [on human nature]. The more we have received, the less we show our gratitude to the Lord for the bountiful blessings He has given. But we were formed to be people that praise our God…to celebrate his triumphs, and testify to the mighty works of His power… we can all testify, ‘He has done great things for us.’
My assignment as a believer is to give credit to whom the credit is due. Some things I have done…but more importantly than celebrating yourself, we must take time to celebrate our God…
As a person of faith, I should always live in a place of gratitude– in a feeling of appreciation for being the recipient of kindness, gifts, helps, favors, and generosity. Even on my worst day, I should live in the grace where I am thankful for what God has does for me. I should cultivate an attitude where I can see the beauty of God and the blessing of his presence even in the most bitter of circumstances…”
